Our Earth is fighting many problems. One of them is POPULATION PROBLEM. This problem is
very serious. It is increasing rapidly. The rapid growth of population is
nullifying all the development efforts. Pressure of population is increasing on
all levels and that day is not far when it will not be able to tolerate this
exploding problem.
The main causes of increase are poverty,
illiteracy, death control, early marriage etc. This shooting up of population has
to be checked if we want world to be prosperous.
Family planning is being encouraged in the
country to check this exploding problem. Allocations of fund for welfare in
five year plans have been increasing. In many countries Family planning
activities are in operation in all districts. Free advice is available there
about family planning. In some countries government has began to give special
incentives to those who take family planning. Advertisements are made published
on T.V, radio channels, cinemas etc, about the abuses of increasing population
in a family.
The effect of all these measures is bringing
the result. However, there is much to be done. It is not only duty of
government to make plans and schemes but the people should also co-operate with
the government.
